“Februllage” is a yearly collage challenge, every february of the year, organized by The Scandinavian Collage Museum and the Edinburgh Collage Collective. Everyday in february, hundreds of collagists all around the world, submit a collage (analog or digital), using the word that is given for that day. Everyday of that month the Instagram page @Februllage, sumbits the best works in their feed.
This year 2022, I chose to have a unifying theme in which I beforehand printed out old photos depicting Portugal. Also, I wanted to only make analog collages, using just a few materials. Cardboard, old fashioned postpacking paper, semi transparent chalk paper, yellow thread and a black fineliner. These materials, I was allowed to use. The photos were made mainly by photographer, Artur Pastor and a few by Neal Slavin. These are a selection of my works and under every collage, you see the word that was submitted that day.
